Seed & Bean
Read MoreIt began with a wild idea: to create an ethical confectionery range focused on organic ingredients, small-scale suppliers, and daring flavours.
The name “Seed and Bean” originated from your initial concept: covering seeds and beans in chocolate. Over time, the company evolved to produce chocolate bars, similar to its current offerings, though with some visual differences in earlier products.
From its inception, Seed & Bean has prioritised ethical practices. In 2016, it became the first UK chocolate brand with fully compostable packaging, utilising Natureflex™, a cellulose film derived from eucalyptus wood pulp. The company is committed to zero plastic and zero waste, aligning this commitment with its adventurous approach.
Seed & Bean distinguishes itself not only through its ethical practices but also through its flavour offerings. It boasts 18 unique and daring flavours, inviting you, the consumer, to explore bold tastes with its range of chocolates. Seed & Bean is more than just a chocolate brand; it is a continuously evolving exploration of flavour and ethical responsibility.

Cambrook Foods
Read MoreCambrook Foods was founded in 2012 by Angus Cameron and Michael Brooks. Having worked in the nut business for over 25 years they decided to start a business producing nuts. The best grades of nuts are a given, so it is all about the way they take a raw nut and make it into something special.
This was particularly tricky in the case of our caramelised nuts. Our research took us to Europe where we discovered both Italian and Spanish artisan businesses doing exactly this. Unfortunately they were not willing to divulge their secrets and so we returned home confident that it could be done but uncertain as to how. A little roasting pan bought in France was the key. We set about the task and after a few months of trials and tribulations we came up with our own unique way of caramelising nuts. The nuts, honey and sugar are carefully heated and gently tumbled in traditional continental roasting pans. It takes the best ingredients, skill and timing to create the perfect caramelised nut: golden, subtly sweet, crunchy and totally irresistible. -

Island Bakery
Read MoreThe Island Bakery's story began in 1994 when Joe and Dawn Reade, fresh out of the University of Edinburgh, started baking bread in a converted garage in Tobermory on the Isle of Mull, Scotland. They quickly filled a gap left by the local baker's retirement.
In 1996, their expansion led them to acquire a shop on Tobermory's Main Street, which they transformed into the Island Bakery Delicatessen. It was here that Dawn spotted a real opportunity for high-quality organic biscuits that could be sold beyond Mull.
This led to the creation of Island Bakery Organics in 2001, initially offering a small range of four biscuit varieties. Their commitment to quality quickly earned them prestigious accolades, including Great Taste awards and an Organic Food award, with early customers including well-known stores like Harvey Nichols and Selfridges.
By 2007, the biscuit side of their business had grown significantly, prompting the tough decision to sell the delicatessen and focus solely on biscuit production. The culmination of this focus was the completion of a brand-new, purpose-built bakery in June 2012. This modern facility is a testament to their dedication to sustainability, as it's powered entirely by local renewable energy sources: wind and hydro-electricity provide the power, while local wood chip fuels the ovens. This eco-friendly approach, combined with their traditional baking methods, contributes to the unique texture and taste of their biscuits.
Today, Island Bakery is renowned for its delicious range of organic biscuits, with popular offerings like Lemon Melts, and continues to uphold a strong commitment to environmental responsibility.
